Michel was certified in 1986 in Winnipeg Manitoba through NAUI then certifying as a PADI instructor in 1991. Michel currently holds dual certifications as a PADI Master Scuba Trainer and Instructor Trainer with International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD). Michel was the owner/operator of Get Wet Adventures in Langley BC. from 1992-1999 and is still active in the dive community as a dive educator, service technician and organizing excursions to Guadelupe and Soccoro Island Mexico. Michel has been active with the Fraser Valley Scuba Club since 2002.
Treasurer: Janene B.G.
Janene started diving in May of 2012 and joined the club shortly after. Most of her dives have been in the local waters as well as on Vancouver Island in the Nanimo area. However, her favorite dives are in blue water, having taking trips to Balie, Bonaire, and Mexico in the last couple of years, she favors wet suit diving to dry suits anytime!
Secretary: Mike B.
I have always loved the water and traveling, and would snorkel any chance I got. I had fish tanks from the time I was 11, and graduated to an elaborate Marine reef system. It was fantastic being able to observe all the fish, invertebrates and corals in close proximity. Something was still missing until a trip to Mexico where I participated in a Discover Scuba course and I was hooked! After some persuasion from Mike E, I finally took the plunge into the world of scuba. My only regret is that I didn't take up the sport sooner. Joined the club in 2015. Advanced, Drysuit and EANx-certified, planning to take Rescue Diver this year. I enjoy our local waters, but really love warm water tropical diving. I haven't caught the photography bug yet, but am looking forward to trying my hand with a GoPro on some big dive trips in the future.
