Pavilion Lake Camp & Dive 2012
Pavilion Lake is a fun alternative to salt water diving. It is a very deep, fresh water lake in Marble Canyon, BC located between Cache Creek and Lillooet. It's surface elevation is 820m (2690 feet) and depth of 100' or more. It is most famous for its colonies of microbialites which are the subject of research in many institutions world wide including local UBC.
Several club members participated in diving this terrific site. Some stayed at the local campsite and others stayed in Cache Creek motels. Overall the trip was fantastic with a great turn out and perfect diving. Unless of course you buddied up with Michel and spent an hour looking at a log while he fiddled with his camera. He claims the photos turned out great, but we've yet to see proof.
