Past Events 2020
​Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our club cancelled many of the spring and summer events, but we adapted and planned a few events for the fall and winter. 

Monthly Club Dives

Below was our schedule of club dives for 2020.  If anyone has a suggestion or would like to organize a dive, let us know!  

January

  • January 1 - New Year's day dive and BBQ at Porteau Cove.  10:00 am - ish, start!
  • Sea Lions Norse Rocks, Nanaimo - Cancelled due to weather. 

February

  • Sea Lions Norse Rocks, Nanaimo - Cancelled due to weather.​

March

  • Sechelt day trip - March 21 - Kat is leading this dive.  Leave on 7:30 am ferry, return on 5:25 pm ferry. - Cancelled

April

  • Campbell River - April Long weekend.  There may be one more spot available, contact us if you are interested.​ - Cancelled 

May

  • Hood Sport Washington - Weekend dive trip - Date TBD or Nanaimo Day trip - TBD - Cancelled

June

  • Howe Sound - Sea Dragon Boat Charter - Date TBD. - Cancelled

July

  • No event

August

  • Pavilion Lake diving and Marble Canyon camping. August 8-9. Kat organizing

September

  • Wreck Trek in Campbell River - Sept 4-6. Full
  • Port Hardy - Sept 13-25. Full
  • Elsa Ferguson - Memorial dive at Porteau Cove with BBQ. Tentative date Sept 26th. 

October

  • Rescue Club Course at Cultus Lake Oct 3-4, with academics Sept 29 & 1. Email club if you are interested in this PADI certification. 
  • Halloween underwater pumpkin carving. Oct 31.

November

  • Saskatchewan wreck dive - November 14th. Cancelled
  • Sea Lions Norse Rocks, Nanaimo - November 29th. Cancelled 

December

  • Club Christmas party - Cancelled due to COVID-19
  • January 2, 2021. Bring in the New Year dive.
