Monthly Club Dives

We will be planning club dives for the year during our monthly meetings.  Club dives are usually held on the Sunday following the monthly meeting.

January

  • No official club dive planned. 

February

  • Feb. 10-12th and March 2-3rd - Ice Diving in Banff with Adventures in Scuba (Calgary) led by Terry Forsyth. $289 for the Certification course. Travel and accommodation costs not included. Contact Adventures in Scuba directly if interested.

  • ​Feb. 23rd - SFU hyperbaric chamber ride. 6 people per session. Planning for 12 people. Cost: $100 per person. Michel organizing.

  • Feb. 10th - Briannia Beach. James leading. *cancelled due to winds. 

March

  • Nanaimo shore dive trip -  Planned sites: Madrona, Oak Leaf, etc. Dates to be confirmed. Dennis organizing.


Non-Club Dives:
  • Mexico cave diving - James B.
  • March 30th - Skyline at Whidbey Island. Site is current-dependent similar to Keystone. Aaron M. (non-member) leading, will email details to Michel to distribute to those interested.

  • Aug. 9th (weekend) - Pavillion Lakes. James organizing
  • Aug. 17th - Summer BBQ & Memorial Dive for Stuart Tweedlie at Porteau Cove. Details to be confirmed.
  • Aug. 25th - Ovarian Cancer Fundraiser BBQ (for Elsa), Porteau Cove. Check Event on website and Facebook. GoFundMe page has been set up for alternate donation methods.

September

  • Sept. 7th - Annual Cultus Lake Cleanup. Mike E. organizing.
  • 'Ratfish-Palooza' - Mukilteo, WA. Diving the T-Dock and Edgewater site, close to the ferry. Date TBD. Judith organizing

  • Port Hardy - The Hideaway. Sept. 13-16th. 1 spot left. Contact Michel if interested.

October

  • Oct. 11-14th - Hood Canal, WA. The Yellow House booked. USD $1500 for the whole house - 3 private bdrms and dorm setup on lower level. Sleeps 16. House rental includes air fills from Hoodsport 'n Dive. Nearby sites include: Sund Rock, The Cove, Flag Pole at Mike's Beach Resort and Octopus Hole.  Mike E. organizing. *A few spots may be available - contact Mike E.

  • Remembrance day - Nanaimo boat dive, day trip with a possible weekend trip option. Michel is organizing.​
